Question 4

Questions 4(a & b) requested the candidates to define pollution and state three consequences of water pollution. Majority of the candidates wrote on pollutants instead of pollution and for consequences of water pollution their answers included blocking of roads causing erosion and flood in place of disruption of eco system, deaths of aquatic animals. The part(c) was on types of drainage system and advantage of each type mentioned. Majority of the candidates answered the question correctly but some failed to give proper advantage of the drainage system mentioned. The (d) part was on ways of controlling weevils at home. This was well attempted and candidates performed very well.
