AHere, the candidate was expected to write about his/her traditional ruler. Many candidates attempted this question and did well.
The important points required include: the name of the ruler, town, attributes, developmental achievements for his people, etc.

B.Candidates were expected to write an argumentative essay on the motion: ‘It is better to marry a literate than an illiterate. Candidates that attempted this question were either proposing or opposing the motion.
For the proponents, the important points required include: a literate partner is a great asset to the family, is more understanding, attracts more respect from his/her partner and the society, knows how to train children better and manages the home better, etc. On the opposing side, the points required are: the illiterate partner is more obedient and humble whereas the literate is arrogant and easily opts for divorce, etc.

C.  This is an informal letter. Candidates were expected to write a letter to his/her brother overseas, telling him all about the wine-carrying ceremony of his/her their elder sister which took place during the last Christmas. The following points were expected from the candidates among others: the preparations, the venue, people that were invited, the caliber of people that came, the entertainment, gifts she got, etc.
This question was very well attempted by many candidates.

D.  Candidates were required to write on a proverb that says: A bald headed man does not go for a fight where sticks are involved.
Candidates were expected to explain the proverb before telling an appropriate story. No candidate attempted this question.

E.  In this question, candidates were asked to discuss in a dialogue form, voting in their states. They were expected to mention: the name of their state, the condition of the environment, how INEC performed, the level of zeal shown by voters, the time it took them to arrange things, the security level, the voting proper, etc. The candidates that attempted this question did not handle the dialogue properly.
