Observation

Candidates were expected to explain the events that followed after the king was released by the police. In (a) to state the rules Nwa Diishi gave to the king concerning Ugochi, his wife and what they will do to him if he repeats the treatment that led to his arrest; in (b) what happened in the village of Umueleme the moment the court attendants left the palace and in (c) the proverbs Ugochi threw at Achalụ when she was questioning her about beating her daughter and the names she called Achalụ.

Expected answers:

(a) i. O nyere ya iwu ka o ghara inye Ugochi nsogbu gbasara ụka ọ na-aga.

(b) - Obodo na-agba gharaghara.

(c) (i) - Mkpọ akịrịka bu ụzọ bụrụ ọmụ nkwụ.

- Ite ọhụrụ aṅụrịzila n’ihi na ọ ga-emechaa hụ ihe ite ochie hụrụ

(ii) - Ọnwa pụrụ taa gbahoo Chi.

- Nwa o buru okwu na ụka n’isi bịa dị.
