OBSERVATION

 This is another favorite question which was answered by the candidates in their majority and in which there was a mixture of good and poor performances recorded by candidates. For the candidates who did well, the relationship or similarities between Hadith and Sunnah were clearly stated.  Such similarities include both being sources of Shari‘ah and a source of historical information.  Also both Sunnah and Hadith can be interchangeably used to mean sayings, deeds and silent approvals of the Prophet (S.A.W.).  In the contrary, some candidates only defined Sunnah and Hadith without showing the relationship between them.  Thus, they recorded poor performance in the question.
