The standard of the paper compares favourably with those of previous years.  The paper was set within the specified WASSCE syllabus and the marking scheme was quite explicit.

There was no significant improvement in the overall performance of the candidates over the previous years.

There were clear evidence that most candidates did not study the original texts and therefore they were unable to present their ideas and responses with appropriate textual references.
