The standard of the paper compared favourably with those of previous years.
The questions were straightforward, unambiguous and within the scope of the examination syllabus.  The rubrics were clearly stated and the marking scheme was also clear and quite detailed. 
However, there was no remarkable improvement in candidates’ performance.
