A good number of candidates attempted this question. However, many of them failed to relate the struggles of the characters and the obstacles they encountered in achieving their dreams.

Candidates were expected to discuss the following points:

* Each member of the Younger family and his or her dream.

* Mama’s dream and Ruth’s dream.

* Beneatha’s dream and Walter’s dream.

* How much of each dream is fulfilled

Candidates’ performance in this question was poor.
