Types of formal meeting
(i) Statutory meeting: It is the first formal meeting a public company is required to hold within three months of its incorporation. It is at this meeting that the appointment of directors and other principal officers are approved.
(ii) Emergency meeting: This is usually convened to address urgent issues that affect an organisation.
(iii) Board meeting: It is a meeting of members of the board of directors of a company. It is convened to take policy decisions. (iv) General meeting: It is the meeting of the shareholders of a company
