This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was fair. In part (a),
candidates named types of recreation. In part (b) few candidates stated benefits of engaging in
recreational activities however, majority lost marks due to their inability to state benefits of
engaging in recreational activities. In part ( c) candidates could not describe pulmonary blood
circulation correctly.

- deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle enters into the pulmonary artery
- pulmonary artery carries the deoxygenated blood into the lungs
- oxygenated blood leaves the lungs and goes into the pulmonary veins
- which carries the oxygenated blood into the left atrium
