• Poor mathematical representation.

• express themselves in good and simple sentences
• accurately give the statement of definitions, state equations, formulas and substitution.

Based on the observed weaknesses, the Chief Examiners recommended as follows:

• More attention should be paid on topics like circular motion and simple harmonic motion
• Physics teachers should endeavour to solve mathematical problems after each lesson.
• Candidates should study and not read Physics
• Candidates should practice exercises from recommended textbooks
• Qualified and experienced Physics teachers should be employed
• Government should equip school laboratories with apparatus for effective learning
