(a) List the forces that keep the earth revolving round the sun.
(b) A force F is applied to an object of mass m such that in time t the velocity changes by Δv in the direction of F to m. Write an equation relating F to m, Δv and t.
Observation
Majority of candidates attempted this question but performed averagely. In (b) majority of the candidates could not state the correct formula. The question did not demand that Δv be split into (v – u). Performance was fair.
