Weakness & Remedies
- Poor responses were given to questions on:
- uses of geostationary satellites;
- lasers applications;
- speed of satellite in orbit;
- use of the Kinetic theory of matter to explain increase in temperature;
- application of Boyle’s law to trapped volume of air at different pressures
- sources of background radiation.
Based on the observed weaknesses, the Chief Examiners recommended as follows:
- More attention should be paid to topics like geostationary satellites, background etc.
- Candidates should pay attention to application of principles during lectures.
- Candidates should practice exercises from recommended textbooks
- Qualified and experienced Physics teachers should be employed
