Weakness & Remedies
The following were observed as candidates’ weaknesses:
- inability to read measurement from scales;
- inability to start graph from origin (0,0) where intercepts are required
- inconsistency in decimal places;
- poor determination of slopes;
- inability to state correct precautions;
- poorly attempted short structured questions;
- over approximation of evaluated values;
- wrong choice of reasonable scales;
- inability to state correct unit.
The following remedies were proffered:
- Candidates should familiarize themselves with practical procedures;
- Candidates should attend extra mural classes in preparation for the examination;
- Candidates should avail themselves of the Chief Examiners Report and past questions on WAEC website;
- Candidates should procure textbooks to aid in examination preparation.
