Weakness and Remedies
The following were observed weaknesses,
- Usage of inappropriate pencils and mathematical instruments in plotting graphs;
- Inability to choose a reasonable scale;
- Poor use of standard forms when graphing decimal numbers;
- Inability to interpret graphs to make meaningful deductions;
- Insufficient understanding of Physics principle and concepts.
The following remedies were proffered:
- Government and school owners should build modern laboratories with state of the art facilities in schools across the nation;
- Teachers should emphasis proper formatting and labeling of axes, selecting appropriate scales, and accurately representing data on graphs.;
- Teachers should strive to incorporate more everyday examples when teaching basic concepts of physics;
- Qualified teachers should be employed to teach Physics;
- Teachers should be encouraged to attend WAEC Coordination and Marking Exercise.
