Weakness and Remedies

Candidates’ weaknesses were seen in their inability to:

-           explain the terms loan, delivery note, consignment note, debit note;
-           explain the methods of jointing steel pipes;
-           describe waste collection points;
-           use a sketch to describe how classes of pipes are used for water supply into a building;
-           state safety measures to be observed on a construction site;

SUGGESTED REMEDIES FOR OVERCOMING THE WEAKNESSES

It was recommended that well qualified, well trained, technical teachers should be employed to teach the subjects in schools and it should be ensured that every aspect of the syllabus is taught.
