Candidates' Weakness

Many candidates, as reported, showed weakness in paying attention to details and practice. This was clearly visible in the way they gave their responses to questions asked. As there was lack of knowledge of safety and poor knowledge of general workshop practices and basic electronics of radio and television circuits

Suggested Remedies

It was suggested that, to correct this weakness:

• more teaching and learning should be done in understanding the concepts of subject topics;
• candidates should make effort to cover the entire examination syllabus before the period of their examination;
•  more attention should be placed on workshop practice and laboratory exercises;
•  Participating schools should endeavor to engage teachers with cognate knowledge in order to enhance knowledge dissemination so as to meet the objectives of the subject.
