Observation
Candidates attempted the (a) part of the question well. However in the (b) part of the question, most candidates listed the barriers instead of stating them in sentences as required in the question.
The responses expected from candidates are:
            (a) International trade is the  exchange, buying and selling of goods and services between two or more  countries.                                                                                 
    (b) Barriers to International Trade
    (i)  Distance between the countries may be too far to guarantee smooth trade  transactions
    (ii)  Differences in currency will affect international trade
    (iii)  Differences in languages will make it difficult for countries to interact  effectively
    (iv) Difference in law  and legal interpretation will affect trade relationship 
    between countries
    (v)  Differences in culture constitutes a stumbling block in international trade
    (vi) Differences in  climate conditions will constitute a problem in international trade
    (vii) Negative attitude  towards foreign investors will affect international trade
    (viii) The state of the  political environment (political instability) will affect international 
    trade
    (ix) Poor  transportation and telecommunication facilities will affect international trade
    (x) Unequal trade  transaction between countries is an obstacle to international trade
    (xi) Artificial  barriers like protectionist users constitute obstacle to international trade
