   Majority of the candidates attempted this question and performed brilliantly well.

   The responses expected from candidates are:
   
   4(a)      Uses of store equipment:
            i.          Pallet:
   -           Pallets are used as platform for the storage of specific store items;
   -           Pallets enable the movement (transport) of materials with the use of forklift           easier;
   -           Pallets are used to enable easy stock counting of materials in the store. 

            ii          Scale:  
   -           A scale is used for measuring the weights of items.

            iii.        Forklift:
   -           Forklift is used for lifting of heavy items placed on pallets;
   -           Forklift is used for stacking and retrieving materials in the store;
   -           Forklift is used for loading and unloading of materials at different levels of           height;
   -           Forklift is used for moving goods from one place to another.

            iv.        Shelf:
   -           Shelf is used for storage of materials in the store;

   (b)                 Explanation of storekeeping terms
   i.          Administrative skill: This refers to the ability of the storekeeper to manage and organize the daily activities in the store. It also ensures that processes and procedures are followed to achieve the objectives of the organization.
   ii.         Numerical skill: This skill enables the storekeeper to make arithmetical computations with speed and accuracy.
   iii.        Computer skill: This refers to the ability of the storekeeper to use computer properly to manage operations in the store.
   iv.        Quality consciousness: This refers to the ability of the storekeeper to recognize and follow the right standard of operations in the store.
