(a) The perimeter of an isosceles triangle PQR is 120 long and its vertical height is 50. Construct the triangle. [8marks] (b) Two views of a block are shown in first angle projection below. Draw the isometric view oof the bock. (Make point X the lowest). [12marks]

OBSERVATION
1a.Candidates were required to construct an isosceles triangle , given the perimeter and the altitude . The procedure is to make bisections to locate a point above the base as shown below. Majority of the candidates got the solution correctly 1b.This question required a candidate to draw an isometric block from the given orthographic view. They could either draw an isometric box or isometric axes as starting point. The given dimensions would then be used to mark off various parts as shown in the solution below.
