Strategies used in tourism marketing
- Market segmentation – act of dividing markets into smaller targets groups so as to meet the specific market needs e.g. gender, age, geography, occupation, life style, socio-economic.
- Mass marketing – it involves production of goods and services to all segments of the market.
- Niche marketing – this is a micro marketing concentrating every market effort on a small but specific segment of the market e.g., space tourism.
