Observation

Majority of the candidates attempted this question. The performance was very good. The candidates were expected to answer in the following way:

-     He had his secondary education at Abeokuta, Macjob Grammar School.
-     Also attended Ibadan Grammar School, Ibadan.
-     He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from ABU, Zaria in 1968-1972.

-          Painting.

-           Ensemble.
-           The Harmattan.
-           Market no dey.
-           The beggar.
-           Portraits of personalities like:
-           Bishop Ajayi Crowder;
-           Oba of Benin (Omo N Oba Eredianwa II);
-           Chief S. L. Edu;
-           Chief Ume Ezeoke;
-           Speaker of House of Representative- 1979- 1983;
-           Dr. Joseph Wayas (Senate President- 1979- 1983);
-           Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe;
-           Alhaji Tafelwa Balewa;
-           Prof. Femi Pearse (Provost of College of Medicine).
-           Many of his painting adorn many homes and public buildings in Nigeria and abroad.

(e)        Contributions to the development of art
-           He has held over twelve solo and group exhibitions.
-           He has many commission works to his credit.
-           Most of his paintings have been used by private and public organizations for calendar designs e.g. 1980 Federal Government Calendar and Unipetrol Calendar1981.
-           He was the chairman SNA, Lagos state chapter.
-           He was the President of SNA.
-           He is regarded as one of the prolific painters in Nigeria.
-           He served many times as the head of Department of Art and Design, Yaba College of Technology.
-           Member of the Visual Art Sub-Committee for Nigeria participation in the second World Black and African Festival of Arts and Culture (FESTAC 1977).
-           Part of the contingent of Contemporary Nigeria Art and Craft Exhibition at Romania in 1976.
-           He owns a gallery, where people visit to buy artworks and equally gain inspiration.
