A female model wearing a traditional outfit sits comfortably on a chair. She stretches forward her left leg while her right leg is slightly bent.
Observation
The question didn’t pose much problem to the candidates. The performance was average. The following points were expected from the candidates’ to obtain the maximum marks:
1. DRAWING QUALITY
(a) Accurate drawing of a female model wearing a traditional outfit.
(b) Accurate drawing of the model sitting on a chair.
(c) Accurate drawing of the left leg of the model stretched forward.
(d) Accurate drawing of the right leg of the model slightly bent.
2. TONE/COLOUR

(a) Effective shading to depict the female model wearing traditional outfit and sitting comfortably on the chair. (b) Accurate indication of the source of light in the composition.
(c) Ability to create the correct feeling in the composition.
3. COMPOSITION
(a) Centrality of the composition on the paper.
(b) Use of paper to advantage (at least ¾ of the paper).
(c) Accurate proportion of the model in the composition.
(d) Indication of baseline.
4. ORIGINALITY
(a) Showing effective personalised style of work.
(b) Showing effective use of art materials (colour, pencil, pen and ink).
