A new fruit drink named MALT BOOSTER is to be launched. Design a pictorial poster to advertise this product. Incorporate the slogan CREAMILY REFRESHING.


Colours: Not more thanthree.


Size:    40cm by 30cm.

Question 1 was attempted by few candidates. The performance was average. They were expected to respond to the question thus:

 

A.        LAYOUT                  

1.         PLANNING                          

(i)        Appropriate representation of the pictorial poster design for a fruit drink

named MALT BOOSTER.            

(ii)        Choice of suitable typeface.                                                                          

2.         COMPOSITION                   

(i)         Judicious use of space to size specification (40 cm x 30 cm).          

(ii)        Effective arrangement of all elements in the poster design.                         

 

B.        TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY                 

(i)         Ability to create and render expressive design with illustration.                   

(ii)        Skillful construction of legible letters in the design.                                     

(iii)       Skillful use of materials and instruments.                                                     
(iv)       Should incorporate the slogan effectively: CREAMILY REFRESHING.   

 

C.        COLOUR                             

(i)         Choice of harmonious and contrasting colours.                                            

(ii)        Effective application and distribution of colours in the design.                    
(iii)       Use of colours to specifications.

(i)         Ability to produce an effective pictorial poster design.                                
(ii)        Relevance of the design: Bold and attractive.
