Using pawpaw fruit as a motif, design and produce a wall planter. The finished ware must be fired.
Diameter: 30cm.
Height: 20cm.
Medium: Clay.
Observation
A unique question which was attempted by a few candidates averagely. They were expected to respond to the question thus:
1. DESIGN:
(i) Should be unique in shape, form and surface decoration.
(ii) The planter should depict a pawpaw motif decoration.
(iii) Compliance with diameter/height specification (30cm/20cm).
2. EXECUTION/PROFICIENCY:
(i) Skillful production of the planter with a pawpaw motif decoration.
(ii) Effective representation of pawpaw motif on the planter.
(iii) Good finishing through firing processes.
3. COLOUR/FORM:
(i) Proper handling of firing processes to produce appealing colouring effect.
4. SUITABILITY:
(i) Should be functional and attractive as a wall planter.
5. ORIGINALITY:
(i) Uniqueness in form and shape.
