DESIGN AND DRAWING
QUESTION ONE
Candidates were required to design a side table to the following specifications:
Length – 600;
Width – 350;
Height – 450;
Top – 18 (plywood).
(All dimensions are in millimetres)
The underframe consist of:
- 40 x 40 mm legs (hardwood);
- 20 x 50 mm rails (hardwood).
The section is to be answered on two drawing papers supplied to the candidate.
Two pictorial (like a picture), freehand (not drawn with instruments) drawings of the design of the side table are to be made.
Both drawings are to be different from each other. The drawings are to show the specifications stated.
QUESTION TWO
The second question required candidates to use drawing instruments. The drawing paper is to be prepared with:
- Boarder lines;
- Title block;
- Good layout.
