Candidates performed poorly in this question. Many where listing types of finishes. The question require candidate to list types of paints.

            -           emulsion/water  paint;
    -           oil  paint;
    -           acrylic  paint;
    -           metalic  paint;
    -           latex  paint.
(B) Candidates’ response to this question was okay. They were required to state one characteristic of a seasoned timber.
The solution is stated below:
Characteristics of a seasoned timber
-           has less moisture;
    -           is light in weight;
    -           easy to work with;
    -           takes finishes better;
    -           more resistance to insect attack.
(c) Candidates were required to make an exploded pictorial sketch of the dovetail tee-halving joint. Candidates’ performance was okay. However, some of the candidates could not give the required response
