Candidate's Weakness and Remedies

A SUMMARY OF CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

It was reported that candidates showed weaknesses in the following areas:

(1)        use of appropriate tools for the job;
(2)        inability of some of the candidates to read the working drawing correctly;
(3)        it was also reported that the quality of material supplied to the candidates by the schools were poor.

 SUGGESTED REMEDY FOR OVERCOMING THESE WEAKNESSES

To overcome these weaknesses, candidates are hereby advised to:

1. prepare adequately for the examination;
2. learn how to read and interpret working drawing;
3. visit the workshop and practice regularly;
4. learn the use of the appropriate tool for a given job.

Also teachers should show more interest in their job and improve on their teaching skills.

Funds should be provided to schools to procure the needed tools and materials for effective teaching and learning.
