Conclusion
Though candidates’ performance improved when compared with recent years, there is still need for further improvement.
If candidates can properly address the weaknesses identified in this report, there is hope for a much better performance in future. It should be emphasized as well, that adequate preparation for the examination is the only reliable path to success.
Teachers are also enjoined to take candidates through the basics in the grammar and literature aspect of the subject, not leaving behind phonetics and phonology of Yorùbá.
