- GENERAL COMMENTS ON THE PAPER AS A WHOLE
The paper compared favourably with those of previous years in standard, skills tested and coverage of the WASSCE Syllabus. The questions were straightforward and clearly itemized to ease comprehension. The rubrics were clear and the marking scheme was flexible and comprehensive.
The performance of the candidates was higher than that of the previous year. The candidates’ population of 242,908 had a raw mean score of 33 and a standard deviation of 14.59 as against a raw mean score of 28 and a standard deviation of 14.42 recorded in the November/December 2011 WASSCE with a candidature of 229,891.
