Candidates in their number who obtained inaccurate readings made such their undoing due to lack of understanding of the measuring instruments involved in the tasks.

(b)     Suggested Remedies

It is suggested that to remedy this weakness:

• qualified technical teachers were required to expose the candidates to the effective use of electrical measuring instruments;
• schools should provide electrical measuring instruments for practice by the candidates.
