Few candidates were able to sketch the electrical fittings correctly.  Also, the function of an electrical fuse was well stated by most candidates.

However, some candidates were unable to sketch both series and parallel connections correctly.  The expected response to question 5 is as given below:

                        (b)        (i)         series connection circuit
