The candidates were found wanting in their:
(i) familiarity with basic units of measurements;
(ii) capability in correctly interpreting meter readings;
(iii) identification of gain as ratio of similar quantities with no units.
(b) Suggested Remedies
It is suggested that candidates for the Electronics paper should be exposed to laboratory experiments.
