Some  of the candidates did not adhere to the rubrics. Instead of answering one  question on letter writing, they answered two questions. Some of them were weak  in the use of French grammar. They have not mastered the correct use of the  French verbs.
The  verbs were wrongly used and poorly conjugated. 
SUGGESTIONS  FOR IMPROVEMENT 
                 (1)  To improve on candidates’  performance, teachers of French should be more    
  involved in the teaching of the basic  grammatical structures at each lesson. 
 They should ensure that the students are well  drilled in French verbs.
(2)  They should also encourage the students to  read the rubrics before answering 
        questions.
