It was reported that questions on vectors were poorly handled by majority of the candidates. Candidates were also reportedly weak in the following areas:

1. Reading from graphs
2. Binomial probability distribution

 

          Premature approximation was also noted to be one of the candidates’ weaknesses.

SUGGESTED REMEDIES

 

1. Candidates should study the questions carefully before attempting them;
2. Candidates should avoid premature approximations;
3. Teachers should emphasize the weak areas of the syllabus by giving more class work and assignments.
4. Teachers and candidates should endeavour to study past questions while preparing for examinations;
5. Teachers were encouraged to participate in coordination meetings for the marking exercise of WASSCE
