Highlight any five methods used to obtain slaves during the period of trans-Atlantic slave trade.

This question was very popular among the candidates and theyalso did creditably well in it.  They were able to highlight some of the following points:

• powerful states declared war on weaker states for the purpose of
• capturing their people and selling them as slaves
• debtors were sometimes sold into slavery;
• women, young people and children were ambushed, kidnapped and sold to slavery, etc.
