The  relationship between More, Rich, Norfolk and Cromwell serves as the pivot. Rich  betrays More; Rich as a friend at first and later perjures his mind to gain  position. 
                      Cromwell  and More swam enemies; Cromwell actively sought More's death. 
                      Norfolk  proves a steadfast friend to More but after much pressure from people around  him he gave him up. He proves that friendship is not based on a true and  lasting relationship.
