Observation

Unfortunately here, candidates did not perform well. It was quite obvious that most of them just gambled. The question really exposed the candidates' poor knowledge of African popular music

(i) Highlife music originated in Accra, Ghana
(ii) Instrumental accompaniment in Juju music is usually with guitar, vocal and percussion whereas Highlife music is usually accompanied by the brass and guitar; it mayor may not have vocal accompaniment.

(i)        Both depend on Western elements and musical instruments.
(ii)       Both improvise.
(iii)      Both are performed at social functions.
