       (a)       Mention any three physiological problems that are likely to affect good singin~.
       (b)       Notate on the music manuscript, the average range of a contralto.
       (c)       State the distinctive features of a coloratura soprano.
       (d)       Identify the difference between the treble and soprano parts .

Observation

. Candidates' performance in this question was not spectacular as most of them failed to supply the expected answers in 1 (a), (b) and (c). Candidates' failure to adequately prepare for the examination must have resulted in their poor performance which made them to lose the accrued marks. Candidates were expected to supply the following, among others, as their answers:
(a)       Bronchitis, sore throat, cold, catarrh, sneezing, cough, etc.
(b)





   (c)       Ability to perform rapid scales, trills and wide skips in the highest
register; soprano with high versatile voice.
