The poor performance witnessed in the candidates’ scripts stemmed from

(i) Inadequate preparation;

(ii) Incompetence of the teachers;

(iii) Ignorance

(iv) Non-availability of the required facilities for teaching/learning

 

In order  to improve on the weaknesses identified above,   adequately prepare for the examinations by

(i) Candidates should  study the syllabus ahead of the examinations;

(ii) School authorities should engage  the assistance of competent and qualified music teachers

(iii) Government should provide the facilities required for teaching/learning.
