The following weaknesses were identified in candidates’ performance.

          (1)     Inadequate preparation.
          (2)     Poor knowledge of the rudiments and theory of music.

In order for candidates to improve on the weaknesses highlighted above, they should

(I) prepare adequately for the examinations;
(II) go for lessons and acquire adequate knowledge in the rudiments and theory of music from qualified teachers/good schools.
