This question was attempted by few candidates and their performance was poor.  In aprt (a) candidates could not correctly make a clearer diagramatic respresentation of first, second and third order levers.  In part (b) candidates correctly mentioned lever class of lever that aids speed of movement in a sporting activity.

 However, the expected answers were as follows:

8(a)   Diagramatic  representation of

•   First order lever

•   Second order lever

•  Third order level

(b)   Class of lever that aids speed of movement

•   third class order lever.
