Most candidates were unable to select the right tools and materials for the job.  Some materials (timber) are not easy to work with under examination condition because of their hardness.

To overcome these weaknesses, candidates should be taught on the:

-           use of right tools for the right jobs;
-           need to prepare the materials to the given specification.

Also, students should be taken to standard Woodwork shops and sites
