Candidates seem to have imbibed some essay writing conventions needed when writing formal letters as they have very good arrangement of points.  Many candidates performed brilliantly in Oral Prose; that is the Yoruba folktales of “Ijapa Tiroko Oko Yannibo” as regards Ijapa’s behaviour towards Atioro.  Also, there is slight commendable improvement on candidates’ performance in phonology and grammar when compared with previous years.
