The standard of the paper compared favourably with those of the previous years. The topics covered in the questions were within the context of the syllabus and the Marking Scheme was detailed, concise and comprehensive.
However, candidates’ overall performance fell below those of the previous years and there was no noticeable improvement.  Nevertheless, there were isolated cases of excellent works by few candidates.
