The standard of the paper compared favourably with those of the previous years. The rubrics were clearly stated and the questions were within the scope of the syllabus. The Marking Schemes exhaustively provided for all the required competencies. There was an unusual attraction to the life drawing question and this led to a marginal improvement in performance over that of the previous year.
