A SUMMARY OF CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

Candidates’ weaknesses were seen in their inability to:

• list the types of oil pumps;
• sketch oil pumps;
• describe how to change engine oil;
• to calculate gear ratio.    

  SUGGESTED REMEDIES FOR OVERCOMING THE WEAKNESSES

In order to overcome the weaknesses, candidates were advised to study seriously before sitting for the examination.  They were also advised to familiarize themselves with sketches of various parts of a motor vehicle.
