Most candidates were able to:

• List three safety wears that should be worn when casting lintel on a construction site
• Sketch each of the following hand tools:

(i)        jointer;
(ii)        steel square.

However, some of the candidates were unable to state three preliminary site
activities prior to site leveling:

• Site investigation;
• Soil investigation/soil examination;
• Site clearance (i.e., demolitions, felling of trees, grubbing, removal of debris etc.);
• Provision of access road;
• Topsoil excavation;
• Site layout/organization;
• Provision of space for plant and equipment;
• Provision of space for handling spoil/excavated soil.
