However, few of them were unable to state three functions of a wall finish.

5 (b) Functions of wall finish.
It:
- provides a smooth surface in which dust and dirt cannot lodge;
- provides a decorative effect or attractive surface;
- conceals inferior or defective workmanship;
- protect the external surface against penetration of rainwater and other atmospheric agents;
- prevents the growth of moulds;
- improves thermal insulation property of wall;
