This question was not very popular as many of the candidates that attempted it failed to
distinguish Paul's activities in Damascus from those of Jerusalem. They just muddled lip
the whole activities of Paul in those places. Some ofthe vital points expected from
candidates include: (i) At a synagogue in Damascus, Paul proclaimed Jesus as son of
God. (ii) The Jews plotted to kill him but the plot leaked to him. (iii) At Jerusalem,
Barnabas interceded on his behalf. (iv) He preached boldly there in the name ofthc Lord.
The' b' pan of the question was well handled and this eventually led them to average
performance.
