This question was not popular with the candidates; those that attempted it wrote off the
point. hence scored poor marks. The essential points they ought to have mentioned are:
(i) Abraham gained the righteousness of God by faith and was justified. (ii) Law only
bring wrath because without law, there is no sin. (iii) His faith was reckoned to him as
righteousness. (iv) Abraham's exemplary life is for our emulation.
The 'b' part of the question was their undoing because only few were able to give the
correct answers and they could not give the relevance of the teaching: Some of the
relevance include: (i) Christians believe that through God's grace, heaven is assured. (ii)
Christians are motivated for good works in all fields of human life. (iii) Christians believe
that the law is a means to an end and not and end in itself.
